You are so beautiful to me...

A project I did to frame and hang in my daughter's room. It was a little harder for me to do because of the bright colors. I'm so used to using vintage type papers. But it was fun and it totally matches my daughters personality and her room.....

Also, I got the idea for the rolled paper bodies on the butterflies from Wendy McKee's blog. Check it out she does awesome work!

TFL & let me know what you think...
Thanks!

First posting...ever!

Hello. Welcome to my blog. I created this blog as a central location for all my favorite creations and photo's. I am a full time working wife and mother. I have two incredible kids. Emily is 6 and is about to start 1st grade. Shaun is 3 and never stops making me laugh. I am married to my High School sweetheart, Kevin. He means the world to me.

I started scrapbooking about 6 months or so after I had my first child. Of course, like most new parents I took waaayyyy to many photos of her, and I had to do something with them all. My neighbor introduced me to scrapbooking and I have been hooked ever since. My first love though, is photography. I took some classes during my school years, but soon after school I settled into being a wife and mother and lost track of it. Now I work full time in a doctors office. It pays the bills, but I really do wish I would've persued this hobby a little further. I have always said it's never to late to try. I find as much time as possible to indulge myself in photography and scrapbooking. I don't always have time to sit and focus on a project, so sometimes I settle for walking around with the camera in my hand or shopping for scrap supplies, these things make me so happy.

My grandmother passed away about a year ago, and when she did I inherited a lot of her old photos. Most of them go back as far as the 30's and 40's. Thanks to the diligent chronicling of both of my grandparents, I have yet to find one picture that I wasn't sure of the date. It was hand written with a white pen on each and every photo. It was inspiring.

It is now my mision to chronicle as much of my family's life as possible. One day I hope that my children can sit down with their children (and grandchildren) and look at all this stuff that I put my heart into.

So, thats the purpose of this blog. Maybe I will make some friends who feel the same. Maybe, somebody will read this and relate. If you do...let me know. Thanks!
